Christine Clemens and Christian McTarnaghan Have Been Named Partners at CCK
About Christine Clemens
Christine Clemens joined CCK in February 2019. A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, her current practice focuses entirely on advocating for disabled veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Board of Veterans Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC).
Prior to joining CCK, Christine worked as an attorney and litigator for several years in Los Angeles, representing the homeless, ultimately focusing on representing veterans’ needs. She relocated with her family to New York City, where she continued her work for veterans eventually managing the veterans practice for a large general litigation firm, before joining CCK.
Christine serves on the Board of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA) and is currently NOVA’s Vice President. She is a member of the CAVC Bar Association, and a nationally recognized expert in veterans advocacy and litigation.
About Christian McTarnaghan
Christian McTarnaghan joined CCK as an Associate Appellate Attorney in 2014 following his graduation from Suffolk University Law School. He has represented more than 1,200 veterans before the CAVC where he has an enviable record of success, and where he has delivered seven arguments before the court. Christian has also appeared and argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, a rare distinction for any attorney.
For several years he has co-managed CCK’s veterans litigation practice, and mentors a team of more than twenty attorneys. He serves as a member of NOVA’s amicus committee and is on the CAVC’s Rules Advisory Committee. Christian is an accomplished litigator, and skilled manager.
He was named Managing Attorney in September of 2019 before being promoted to Partner this year. His practice currently is shared between representing disabled veterans before the CAVC and Bequest Management for Charitable Organizations.
“Christine and Christian are integral members of the CCK leadership team,” said Founding Partner Robert Chisholm. “We value their expertise, exemplary leadership, and constant dedication to our clients and are excited to see how they will continue to excel.”
